Ali Hassanpour has a successful career as a journalist, alongside working part-time as a courier for Lieferando. He enjoys the athletic side of the job and the opportunity to finance his greatest hobby: travelling.
Meet Ali
Ali is originally from Iran, but has been living in Germany for eight years and works full-time as a journalist during the week. Since March, he’s been on the road once a week as a courier for Lieferando, usually on Sundays. He’s become slimmer and healthier since he started and is delighted to see the transformation whenever he’s in front of the camera.
At first, Ali wasn’t sure if being a courier was suited to him, but after the first workshop with Lieferando it was clear that he’d like to continue and use the job to stay active and balance out his work in journalism.
Although being a courier is technically his side job, Ali is certain that he doesn't lose any free time because of it. "My job is my hobby. I love my job," he tells us. He also loves using the money he earns to see the world, saying “I plan to travel at least once a month, but only on weekends".
Before starting work, Ali likes to lie-in so that he’s fresh for his shift. "So on Sundays I always sleep in until 12 o'clock. I need that. Then I'm well-rested". Once he arrives at the hub, he grabs a pedelec and his work clothes, and he's ready to hit the road.
For anyone who’s thinking of joining Lieferando, his tip is “Go for it! Maybe Lieferando will become your new hobby, too.”
