Meet Kelechi

Kelechi Celine Uzoma is a student in Berlin and works as a Lieferando courier at the side. Being new in the city, she likes that her job lets her explore her new home while having time to study, earn money and further her career.

Kelechi joined Lieferando in March 2022 and loves that she’s able to combine her job with her education. “I can go to university and work at the same time. So I don’t miss my classes and can keep working on my career”. Lieferando doesn’t only offer her a flexible job, but also supports her in her daily life as a courier. 

“One thing I really appreciate about work is that I get help. Let’s say I’m stuck, I send a message for help, and I get it immediately. I’ve never had to wait very long to get assistance”. At Lieferando, everyone is working together and Kelechi never feels alone on the road.

Even though she doesn’t often meet other couriers, she enjoys the conversations when she sees her coworkers. “I met a fellow courier and we got to chat a little while waiting for the food at the restaurant. We talked about work and that was fun”.

Before Kelechi starts her shifts in the afternoon, she simply logs in at a starting zone near her house and gets her first order. Riding her own bike sometimes feels like a workout. “It’s a job that involves energy. You have to be an active person”.

That doesn’t keep Kelechi from enjoying her time on the streets, though. “With this job, you get to see beautiful places and explore the city more while working. That’s something I really admire. It’s more like sightseeing, an adventurous job, which I really like”.
